FRIDAY FASHION SPECTRUM: Shoes Galore

A unique store I visited last weekend is called Lori’s Shoes, and the store is known as “the sole of Chicago.” Lori’s Shoes is located on Armitage Street, off the brown line stop. The store is in the swanky Lincoln Park neighborhood, surrounded by other trendy stores, including BCBG MAXAZRIA, Lucky Brand and Kiehl’s.

If you are a shoe fanatic (like me) this is the place to go. Every kind of shoe you can think of is in this store. From flats to heels, from basic to trendy or from casual to dressy, there is something for everyone. Even though high-end stores surround the place, Lori’s Shoes has items that are affordable for college students. Some of the more affordable brands in this store include Blowfish, Chinese Laundry, Charles David, and Steve Madden. If you want to window shop or buy something higher-end, brands include Dolce Vita, Frye and various Italian brands.

On this page are two of my favorite picks from the store. My first pick is this pair of wedges, called “Finder” by Jolia, and they are only $45. I love the pop of color in these wedges. They would be cute with a black sundress once spring rolls around. My second pick is this pair of “Eltonn” flats by Steve Madden. I always love flats that stand out. These glittery shoes would be perfect for spicing up your T-shirt and jeans outfit for class. These flats are $60.

And if you are in need of a pair of boots for the rest of Chicago’s cold winter, you are in luck. Lori’s Shoes is having a huge clearance event right now, and shoes from the winter season are majorly discounted, some shoes as much as seventy-five percent. Also, in addition to a ton of shoes in the store, Lori’s Shoes also carries jewelry, handbags and hats.

If you are in need of shoes for any occasion, Lori’s Shoes is one of the best places in Chicago. With all of the brands and styles available, every shopper is sure to leave happy. Be sure to check out other stores and restaurants around this place as well. This is one of Chicago’s nicest areas.
