Believing in an alternative college culture: Become a 2012-2013 Chameleon national correspondent
They say college is the best time of a person’s life. I believe college is the best time of a person’s life, because each person has an experience that’s unique to them. That doesn’t mean everyone is going to be a college cheerleader or go drinking and partying every night. What about the young student activists? What about the student progressives? What about the hipsters? What about those who feel like they’re on the outside of the student life bubble looking in? At the LUChameleon, we believe in the alternative culture of college campuses. STAFF REPORT: A message to all John Felice Rome Center alumni and current JFRC summer session students
Ciao from Rome! This year, we’re adding a new theme to our coverage: race, ethnicity, and culture. A study abroad experience certainly falls within the parameters of this theme. We would like to give current, future, and past students at the John Felice Rome Center an opportunity to reflect on their experiences in Rome because we believe studying abroad is an experience that is unique to everyone. We invite you to share your experience in any way: articles, photo stories, illustrations, poems, creative writing pieces, etc. Perhaps your experience is also relatable to one of more »
A STAFF LETTER: Look back, look forward, and thank you
Dear Loyola University Chicago (and the world), It’s incredibly hard to believe we’re near the end of the 2011-2012 school year. As we look back on all the memories, the Chameleon staff and I particularly reminisce at the year we’ve had here working at this publication. The Chameleon was founded because we believed there was no student media publication on campus that catered to an alternative audience. We also believed there was no official campus magazine that allowed students of all majors to come together and produce a work that interested them. This magazine has more »

It’s that time of the semester again: the halfway mark. Midterms are here and we’re so ready to take off for spring break. More importantly this semester’s halfway mark makes us realize that the end of the academic year will be upon us in just two months. To us, a new academic year means a chance for expansion. As we move forward with our plans to make the Chameleon bigger and better for next school year, we realize we can’t do it without your input. YOU’RE the ones who read it. What do you want to see? more »
